Vinachem and Swinburne Vietnam sign Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen links between enterprises and students
On 3 November 2026 in Hanoi, the Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem), in collaboration with Swinburne Vietnam, held the Opening Ceremony for the Swinburne Media Talent 2026 competition and the Signing Ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The event was attended by Mr. Nguyễn Tuấn Dũng, Deputy General Director of Vinachem.
Swinburne Media Talent 2026 offers a platform for students to apply their academic knowledge, creativity, and communication skills to address practical business challenges. As the main sponsor, Vinachem aims to use the competition as a bridge to engage with younger generations, providing opportunities for students to experience real-world operations in production, business, and brand communications.

In his address at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyễn Tuấn Dũng, Deputy General Director, praised Swinburne Vietnam’s educational approach, which combines international curricula with practical business contexts. He emphasised that the competition is an opportunity for students, lecturers, and enterprises to exchange ideas and seek creative solutions to communication challenges currently facing Vietnamese brands.
During the event, Vinachem and Swinburne Vietnam formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding, marking a new stage in the ongoing collaboration between industry and academia.

Under the Memorandum, both parties will deepen cooperation to provide students with greater access to practical experience in industrial production, trade, science and technology, digital transformation, and international integration. The agreement aims to expand opportunities for hands-on learning, research, innovation, internships, recruitment, and stronger enterprise-academic links.
Bringing Vinachem’s Real-World Challenges to Students
A key feature of this partnership, highlighted at Swinburne Media Talent 2026, is the introduction of VinachemMart, Vinachem’s e-commerce platform, as a topic for teams to tackle. By setting the task of developing digital communication strategies for VinachemMart, Vinachem hopes to gather fresh ideas to boost the platform’s visibility, help consumers better appreciate the value of its products, and strengthen links within the Vinachem ecosystem.

The competition also features topics such as developing integrated marketing communications (IMC) campaigns for Vinachem and social impact communications on climate change. Additional business and communications themes have been introduced to broaden the creative space and encourage students to apply their knowledge and skills to real-world scenarios.
Through these topics, Vinachem not only offers students the chance to experience the business environment first-hand but also welcomes new perspectives and innovative ideas from the younger generation, thereby improving communications and brand development.
The programme also helps to spread the ethos of “Vietnamese people prioritise Vietnamese goods”, encouraging young people to confidently promote Vietnamese products, brands, and values to the international community.

The signing of the MOU with Swinburne Vietnam further opens the door to collaboration between Vinachem and educational institutions, harnessing the intellectual potential of young talent and strengthening the connection between academia and practical production and business. This direction also supplements resources, fosters innovation, and supports Vinachem’s objectives for sustainable development in the new era.
