Fertilizer exports increased in first 5 months of 2025

In the first 5 months of 2025, fertilizer exports reached 947,654 tonnes, worth of 372.02 million USD, up by 31.3% in volume, up by 26.6% in value compared to the first 5 months of 2024.

According to preliminary data from the Customs Department, in May of 2025, Vietnam exported 186,946 tonnes of fertilizer, worth of 78.04 million USD, with an average price of 417.5 USD/tonne, up by 16.9% in volume, up by 13.8% in turnover but down by 2.7% in price compared to April of 2025. Compared to May of 2024, it increased sharply by 92.1% in volume, up by 88.5% in turnover but down by 1.9% in price.

In the first 5 months of 2025, fertilizer exports reached 947,654 tonnes, worth of 372.02 million USD, with an average price of 392.6 USD/tonne, up by 31.3% in volume, up by 26.6% in turnover but down by 3.6% in price compared to the first 5 months of 2024. Cambodian market was leading the list of the country’s main fertilizer export markets, accounting for 29.7% in volume and 27.1% in turnover of the country's total fertilizer exports, reaching 281,208 tonnes, worth of 100.64 million USD, with an average price of 357.9 USD/tonne; increased by 49% in volume, increased by 31.6% in value but decreased by 11.7% in price compared to the first 5 months of 2024.

The second place was the South Korean market with 104,158 tonnes, worth of 42.57 million USD, the average price was 408.7 USD/tonne; increased by 21.8% in volume, increased by 20.6% in turnover but decreased by 1% in price, accounting for over 11% in both volume and turnover; the next was the Malaysian market with 74,969 tonnes, worth of 30.95 million USD, average price of 412.8 USD/tonne; increased by 44.4% in volume, increased by 73.2% in turnover and increased by 19.9% in price, accounting for 7.9% in volume and 8.3% in turnover.
