LME prices exhibit mixed trend; copper surges 1.72 %

LONDON (Commodity Online): The Base metals and Silver billets futures traded on a mixed note on the London Metal Exchange on Wednesday. Aluminium Alloy, lead, Tin and Nickel closed in negative while aluminium, copper, Xinc and Steel ended its trading session in Positive. The steel billets futures declined 3.2% to $580 a metric ton.


LME Copperr prices surged 1.72 % to $7720 a metric ton as Freeport declared force majeure ast its Grasberg mine. Positive Us manufacturing and housing data also helped.


LME Price Highlights for Oct 26:


--Aluminium Alloy declined 2.3% to $2100 a metric ton


--Aluminium gained 0.05 % to $2195 per metric ton


--Copper surged 1.72 % to $7720 a metric ton


--Lead Slumped 1.22% to $1937 per metric ton


--Nickel dropped 0.96 % to $19630 a metric ton


--Tin weakened 2.1% to $21805 per metric ton


--Zinc edged up 0.39 % to 1842 a metric ton


--Steel moved up 1.6% to $530 per metric ton
