Born in the Haste of Urgency

We all remember those early days of 2020. When Covid-19 suddenly struck, life was thrown into turmoil and everyone longed for sanitising products to protect themselves and their loved ones.

At that time, LIXCO – already a familiar name for household cleaning products – faced a big question: What could be done to support the community? The decision to develop On1 handwash and hand sanitiser gel was made in a flash. The goal was simple: to provide people, hospitals, and schools with an extra “shield” as soon as possible.

A Product Born Under the Night Lights

On1 grew up in truly exceptional circumstances. Amid supply chain breakdowns and movement restrictions, the LIXCO R&D team and workers made a bold choice: to “camp out” at the factory.

They worked and lived on site, racing against time to research, test, and keep the production lines running. Tens of thousands of litres of On1 hand sanitiser, produced in those challenging days, were sent directly to hospitals and the hardest-hit areas nationwide. It was more than just a product; it was a gesture of care and solidarity from the entire LIXCO team in the most difficult times.

A Shift Towards Everyday Home Care

Then the storm passed and normal life gradually resumed. People’s needs began to change, and we asked ourselves: “On1 protected everyone’s health during the pandemic, so why not let On1 continue to care for them in daily life?”

Drawing on decades of LIXCO’s experience, the On1 family began to welcome new members. From washing-up liquid, laundry detergent, and fabric softener, to floor cleaner, glass cleaner, multi-purpose cleaner, and fabric sprays – the range steadily expanded.

From a name synonymous with a hurried bottle of hand sanitiser during the pandemic, On1 has quietly found its way into every corner of the home, becoming a familiar companion sharing household chores with families everywhere.
