Global zinc output increases in H1

International Lead and Zinc Study Group reported the global zinc supply surplus was 176,000 tonnes during January to June this year less than 264,000 tonnes in the same period of last year.

Meanwhile, global refined zinc output was 6.24 million tonnes in the first 6 months increasing by 17% YoY. The global refined zinc consumption also increased by 20% to 6.06 million tonnes driven by strong growth in China market.
