Copper Stockpiles in Shanghai Decline to Two-Month Low
Copper stockpiles monitored by the Shanghai Futures Exchange dropped to a two-month low, whilealuminum inventories fell to the lowest level in 13 months,exchange data showed today.
Copper inventories fell for a fourth week, losing 6,578metric tons to 147,651 tons, according to a survey of 10warehouses in Shanghai. Holdings in two bonded warehouses wereunchanged at 30,104 tons, the bourse said on its website.
Aluminum stockpiles dropped for a fifth week, slipping7,627 tons to 399,846 tons, the lowest since the week endingMarch 18, 2010, according to a survey of 20 warehouses inShanghai, Guangdong, Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces.
Zinc inventories added 10,598 tons to a record 384,882tons, based on a survey of 15 warehouses in Shanghai, Guangdongand Zhejiang, the exchange said. Lead stockpiles rose 6,987 tonsto 18,781 tons, data show.
Natural-rubber inventories fell for a tenth week, down6,027 tons to an nine-month low of 15,939 tons, based on asurvey of 10 warehouses in Shanghai, Shandong, Yunnan, Hainanand Tianjin, the bourse said in the weekly report.
