10:40 AM @ Saturday - 22 August, 2026

On 19 August 2026, the Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem) issued Decision No. 456/QĐ-HCVN, promulgating the “Scheme on the Development of the Data, Information, Communication, and Information Technology Centre to Support Digital Transformation at Vinachem”. This provides the foundation for a unified focal point in data, information, communication, IT, and digital transformation across the entire Group.

The scheme is based on Vinachem’s comprehensive digital transformation plan for the period 2026–2030 and its dedicated digital transformation scheme for the same period, aiming to meet the requirements for innovation in corporate governance, enhance management efficiency, optimise data utilisation, and promote the adoption of digital technologies throughout the Group.

According to the scheme, the Chemical Science and Technology Information Centre is designated as Vinachem’s specialised focal point for data, information, communication, IT, and digital transformation. The Centre is tasked with building, managing, and operating shared databases; developing digital data platforms, digital communication platforms, and systems for digital transformation across the Group.

A key focus of the scheme is to develop a shared digital data ecosystem, gradually building a digital data repository, a digital knowledge base, an intelligent management reporting system, and a centralised dashboard. The Group also intends to apply artificial intelligence, big data, and data analytics tools to support governance, management, and data-driven decision-making.

Alongside the development of data and IT, Vinachem will establish a unified, modern digital communication ecosystem, upgrading the Group’s portal, connecting with member units’ websites, and harmonising content across digital platforms. A centralised digital content management centre is also planned, for the management, editing, storage, and multi-platform distribution of information.

Implementation is scheduled for 2026–2030. During 2026–2027, the Group will focus on developing and upgrading IT infrastructure, the data centre, and shared digital platforms; deploying a centralised data warehouse, integrated data portal, and management and operational reporting systems. From 2028–2030, the emphasis will be on completing the digital data ecosystem, expanding connectivity and data sharing, and further advancing the use of artificial intelligence and big data in management, operations, and business support.

The promulgation of the scheme is a concrete step towards Vinachem’s digital transformation objectives, laying the foundation for a unified data, technology, and digital communication ecosystem. This will enhance governance and management capacity, strengthen connectivity and data sharing, and support the Group’s efficient and modern development in the new era.
