On the morning of June 23, at the headquarters of the Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem), Mr. Nguyễn Hữu Tú – General Director of the Group – chaired a working session with the Task Force for Pharmaceutical Chemical and Pharmaceutical Production Development to review the progress of assigned tasks, assess initial results, and set directions for key upcoming tasks.

In attendance were Mr. Chu Văn Giáp – Member of the Members’ Council; Mr. Lê Ngọc Quang – Deputy General Director; Mr. Lê Hoàng – Deputy General Director; members of the Task Force for Pharmaceutical Chemical and Pharmaceutical Production Development; and representatives from the consulting unit, Rong Viet Securities Corporation.

At the meeting, the consulting unit presented research findings, surveyed and assessed the current state of pharmaceutical chemical and pharmaceutical industry development, analyzed domestic and international market trends, and proposed development orientations and models suitable for Vinachem’s capabilities and advantages. The report also focused on analyzing opportunities to participate in the pharmaceutical chemical value chain, production of pharmaceutical raw materials, and other areas with development potential in the coming period.

Based on the report, participants discussed and evaluated Vinachem’s development potential in the pharmaceutical chemical and pharmaceutical sectors, analyzing advantages and challenges related to technology, raw materials, policy mechanisms, markets, and investment efficiency. Many suggestions were made to leverage the Group’s strengths, gradually develop high value-added pharmaceutical chemical products to meet domestic demand, and aim for deeper participation in regional and international supply chains.

In his concluding remarks, Mr. Nguyễn Hữu Tú acknowledged and highly appreciated the proactive spirit of the Task Force and the close coordination between specialized departments and the consulting unit during the research and report preparation process. The General Director noted that the reports had been thoroughly prepared, closely aligned with practical requirements, and initially formed an important foundation for the Group to research and develop directions for the pharmaceutical chemical sector.

Mr. Nguyễn Hữu Tú requested that immediately after the meeting, the Task Force promptly finalize the draft report and proposal documents for submission to the competent authorities. The Finance and Accounting Department will continue to lead and coordinate with relevant departments and the consulting unit to complete the content, ensuring quality and timeliness.

According to the General Director, the report should clearly demonstrate the necessity to develop the pharmaceutical chemical industry, Vinachem’s role and responsibility in carrying out the assigned tasks, and comprehensively analyze implementation options, fully evaluating the potential, resources, opportunities, and feasibility of each option. The report should also clearly show the added value the Group can create by participating in this sector, linking with Vinachem’s development strategy and the national pharmaceutical chemical industry development orientation.

The General Director also asked the Task Force to continue consulting experts, studying domestic and international experience, and maximizing the effectiveness of the consulting unit to complete the report to the highest quality. The implementation process should proceed urgently, with regular progress reports and timely proposals for guidance on arising issues, ensuring that tasks are completed as required.
