Vinachem Attends Vietnam – Thailand Business Forum

On the afternoon of May 28 in Bangkok, Thailand, a delegation from the Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem) led by Mr. Phùng Quang Hiệp – Party Secretary and Chairman of the Members’ Council – attended the Vietnam – Thailand Business Forum. The event was held as part of the official visit to Thailand by General Secretary, President Tô Lâm, and a high-level Vietnamese delegation.

he Vinachem delegation also included Mr. Nguyễn Văn Luyện – Deputy General Director; Mr. Bùi Văn Thắng – Head of Business Planning Department; Mr. Cao Thành Tín – General Director of LIX Detergent Joint Stock Company; Mr. Nguyễn Đình Khoát – General Director of Southern Rubber Industry Joint Stock Company (Casumina); Mr. Đỗ Văn Tuấn – General Director of Southern Fertilizer Joint Stock Company; and Mr. Vũ Việt Tiến – General Director of DAP No.2 Joint Stock Company – Vinachem.

The forum took place as Vietnam and Thailand had just upgraded their relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, looking ahead to the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 2026. This was a key economic promotion activity during the official visit of Vietnamese senior leaders, bringing together major enterprises from both countries to foster cooperation in investment, trade, logistics, digital transformation, green industry, and regional supply chain connectivity.

Vinachem’s participation in the forum reaffirms its position as a core state-owned enterprise in the chemical industry and demonstrates the Group’s proactive approach to expanding international cooperation and deeper participation in the region’s industrial value chain.

Currently, Vinachem is accelerating restructuring, in-depth investment, digital transformation, green transformation, and the development of high-tech chemical sectors, with the aim of gradually building a strong regional chemical industry group in line with Resolution No. 79-NQ/TW on the development of the state economy and Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.

Through the Vietnam – Thailand Business Forum, Vinachem has further opportunities to strengthen connections with regional partners in the fields of chemicals, industrial materials, logistics, chemicals for high-tech agriculture, and supporting industries. This contributes to enhancing competitiveness and expanding the presence of Vietnamese industrial enterprises in the ASEAN value chain.
