On the morning of July 2 in Hanoi, the Ministry of Industry and Trade held its June briefing conference to review the results of the first six months of 2026 and to set out key tasks for the remaining six months of the year. The conference was chaired by Comrade Lê Mạnh Hùng, Secretary of the Party Committee and Minister of Industry and Trade.

The conference was held in a combined in-person and online format, connecting with industry points across the country. Attending were Deputy Ministers of Industry and Trade, leaders of the ministry’s departments, divisions, and subordinate units, as well as representatives of state groups and corporations.

Representing the Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem), Comrade Nguyễn Tuấn Dũng, Deputy General Director, attended in person at the headquarters of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The conference focused on reviewing the performance of the industry and trade sector in the first half of the year and discussing solutions for the second half of 2026. Delegates spent significant time discussing four main topics: industrial production development; ensuring energy security; promoting import and export; and developing the domestic market in conjunction with supply-demand stability and market control.

Many opinions at the conference centered on analyzing the situation of industrial production, import-export activities, developments in the domestic market, and difficulties and obstacles that need to be resolved in the near future. Based on these discussions, units proposed solutions to effectively implement the sector’s tasks for the remainder of the year.

Vinachem’s representative attended the conference to update on the Ministry’s directions, management orientations, and the sector’s key tasks in the near future, serving the Group’s management work and the implementation of its 2026 production and business plan.
