On the afternoon of March 27, 2026, at the headquarters of Vietnam National Chemical Group (Vinachem), the conference titled “Solutions to Accelerate Digital Transformation of Vietnam National Chemical Group” was held in a hybrid format, combining in-person participation with online connections to Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City.

The conference was chaired by Mr. Lê Hoàng, Deputy General Director of the Group. Attendees included Mr. Nguyễn Văn Quý, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Group; Mr. Nguyễn Tuấn Minh, Member of the Members’ Council; representatives of the Group’s Supervisory Board and the Vietnam Chemical Industry Trade Union; leaders from the Party Committee Office, the Group Office, and specialized departments; as well as representatives and IT and digital transformation personnel from member units.

Mr. Phùng Ngọc Bộ, Head of the Group’s Technical Department, presents the report on digital transformation results in 2025 and the implementation plan for 2026 of Vietnam National Chemical Group.

At the conference, Mr. Phùng Ngọc Bộ presented a comprehensive report on the Group’s digital transformation results in 2025 and the implementation plan for 2026. The report affirmed that digital transformation has become the “backbone” of the Group’s strategy to enhance governance capacity, optimize the chemical production chain, modernize management methods, and improve overall business performance.

In 2025, the Group recorded many notable achievements, including: expanded use of i-Office systems, e-office platforms, digital signatures, and e-invoices; development of integrated management reporting systems; deployment of ERP, HRM, and DMS across multiple units; launch of the VinachemMart e-commerce platform; and initial application of AI, IoT, and cloud technologies in production monitoring, quality control, and data management. Several units have approached a “paperless enterprise” model with real-time, data-driven management.

Experts from VNPT share insights on new technologies.

At the conference, experts from VNPT, G-Group, and the A05 Department under the Ministry of Public Security shared insights on emerging technology trends such as AI, IoT, and Big Data in industrial plants; IoT architecture models; AI camera solutions for security monitoring; and recommendations on information security and prevention of high-tech crimes in the chemical production environment.

Representative from Casumina presents a discussion; experts respond to delegates’ questions.

Presentations and discussions focused on clarifying challenges in digital transformation at member units, particularly issues related to outdated technological infrastructure, shortages of specialized personnel, high initial investment costs, and resistance to shifting from manual to digital processes. Based on these discussions, many practical solutions were proposed, including: building centralized data warehouses, deploying real-time management dashboards, adopting a “cloud-first” strategy, developing “digital nucleus” models, standardizing information security in line with international standards, and establishing shared platforms across the Group.

In his concluding remarks, Mr. Lê Hoàng highly appreciated the serious and responsible working spirit of the delegates and the quality of the presentations. He emphasized that the reports and discussions not only provided professional insights and updated legal regulations but also shared valuable practical experiences and implementation models from various units.

Mr. Lê Hoàng, Deputy General Director of Vietnam National Chemical Group, delivers the closing remarks.

However, he noted that the conference only provided an overall overview. Therefore, each staff member should continue studying the materials in depth, proactively exchange knowledge, and strengthen their foundational understanding to effectively implement digital transformation in their respective units.

He assigned the Group’s Technical Department to take the lead, in coordination with relevant departments and units, in reviewing, systematizing, and standardizing guidelines, procedures, and application models. At the same time, efforts should be intensified to guide and support units during implementation to ensure digital transformation is practical, in-depth, and effective.

In addition, plans will be developed to organize specialized training courses, systematize documentation, and refine application models to support units in implementing digital transformation in a structured, practical, and effective manner in the coming period.
