Closing Ceremony of the 2026 Vinachem Northern Region Workers’ Sports Festival: Healthy for Work, United for Development
After two days of exciting competition, on the morning of June 19, at the Cultural Center of Vietnam Apatit Limited Liability Company, the Vietnam National Chemical Industry Trade Union held the closing ceremony of the 2026 Workers’ Sports Festival for the Northern Region of the Vietnam National Chemical Group.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Phùng Quang Hiệp – Party Secretary, Chairman of the Members’ Council of the Vietnam National Chemical Group; Mr. Tăng Văn Quân – Group Supervisor; Mr. Nguyễn Huy Thông – Chairman of the Vietnam National Chemical Industry Trade Union, Head of the Festival Organizing Committee; along with leaders of member units, numerous staff, union members, workers, and athletes.

This year’s festival brought together nearly 400 athletes from 17 units in the Northern region, competing in five sports: football, volleyball, pickleball, badminton, and table tennis. With the spirit of “Solidarity – Honesty – Sportsmanship,” the athletes delivered many exciting and dramatic matches, demonstrating courage and competitive spirit, while also spreading a sense of exchange, learning, and unity among the units.

In his closing remarks, Mr. Nguyễn Huy Thông – Chairman of the Vietnam National Chemical Industry Trade Union, Head of the Organizing Committee, recognized and praised the passionate and honest competitive spirit of the athletes; the objective and responsible officiating of the referees; and highly appreciated the close and responsible coordination of the participating units, all of which contributed to a successful, safe, and meaningful sports festival.
He emphasized that the festival is not only a valuable playground to improve the cultural and spiritual life and health of staff and workers, but also an opportunity to foster exchanges, learning, and strengthen solidarity among units within the Group. The success of the festival will continue to spread the movement of sports and fitness, inspire the spirit of “Healthy for work, creative for life,” and motivate workers to enthusiastically emulate productive labor, successfully accomplishing the Group’s 2026 production and business objectives.
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, Mr. Nguyễn Huy Thông sincerely thanked Vietnam Apatit Limited Liability Company – the host unit – for thoroughly preparing facilities, allocating service staff, and closely coordinating with the Organizing Committee throughout the tournament. The meticulous preparation, responsibility, hospitality, and smooth coordination of the host were important factors contributing to this year’s festival’s success.
He also expressed heartfelt thanks to Viet Tri Chemical Joint Stock Company and Hanoi Soap Joint Stock Company – the sponsors of the festival. Their practical support not only improved the organization’s quality but also demonstrated solidarity, shared responsibility, and joined hands to develop the cultural and sports movement throughout the chemical industry.
He concluded by expressing the hope that units will continue to maintain and promote sports and fitness activities among staff and workers; build a healthy, united, and creative working environment; contribute to excellent task completion; and look forward to meeting again at future Vinachem Workers’ Sports Festivals.



After two days of vibrant competition, the Organizing Committee awarded first, second, and third prizes to collectives and individuals with outstanding results in each sporting event, as well as overall prizes to units with prominent achievements at the festival.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee of the “Vinachem Step Forward 2026 – Greening the Chemical Industry” online running and walking race also presented awards to collectives and individuals from the Northern region with outstanding performances. This recognizes the perseverance and training spirit of the athletes and continues to spread the message “Healthy for work, creative for life,” boosting the fitness movement among all staff and workers throughout the Group.

The closing ceremony concluded in a joyful and excited atmosphere, leaving a lasting impression of solidarity, exchange, and dedication. The 2026 Vinachem Northern Region Workers’ Sports Festival once again affirmed its role as a meaningful annual cultural and sports event, helping build a workforce that is healthy, resilient, and committed to the enterprise; while providing motivation for every staff member and worker to continue contributing and joining hands for the fast, sustainable development of the Vietnam National Chemical Group in the new era.
